Different Organisations

The Indian Railway Protection Force Service earlier known as Railway Protection Force (RPF), is a security force, established by Railway Protection Force Act, 1957; it was enacted by the Indian Parliament for the “better protection and security of railway property and passenger area”. Railway Protection force has the power to search, investigate, arrest and prosecute offences committed under railway property (unlawful possession act) 1966 and The Railways Act, 1989. However, the arrests done under the penal laws lie in the hands of Government Railway Police.

The Directorate General, Civil Defence was established by MHA on 17th November, 1962. There were only four categories during that time i.e. Fire Section, Civil Defence, Home Guards and Communication Section. On 7th January 2003, this office has been declared as an attached office of MHA under Disaster Management Division and two more sections i.e. Cash and Establishment were added. On 2nd September,2004 it was re-appointed as Director General, National Emergency Response Force and Civil Defence. On 01st December, 2006 it was re-designated as Director General, National Disaster Response Force & Civil Defence. Again, on 26th February, 2014 it was re-appointed as Director General, Fire Services, Civil Defence and Home Guards.

The main CID was formed by the British Government in 1902, in light of the suggestions of the Police Commission. At the passage of the CID office at Gokhale Marg, Lucknow, there is a picture of Rai Bahadur Pandit Shambhu Nath, King's Police Medalist (KPM) and Member of part into Special Branch, CID and the Crime Branch (CB-CID).

The Rapid Action Force is a specialised part of the Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) to deal with riot and crowd control situations.

Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) is an Indian legislative body set up in 1964 to address administrative debasement

The Central Reserve Police Force appeared as Crown Representative's Police on 27th July 1939.

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is a Central Armed Police Force in India. It was set up under Parliament Act on 10 March 1969

World Customs Organisation (WCO0 is an intergovernmental organisation which has its headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. WCO deals with issues such as development of international conventions, collection of customs revenues, drugs enforcement, supply chain security, rules of origin, commodity classification, custom reform etc.
