SECTION-88: BONDS TO APPEAR BEFORE A COURT

Section 88 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 states that the officer presiding in the court who is authorized to issue summons or warrants may direct the person, who is present in the court in connection with a case, to execute a bond for his presence in the court or any other court on a later date so that his presence is secured in the court at a relevant time. This bond can be executed with or without the sureties.
