Section 87 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, states that the court can issue a warrant of arrest where it has power to issue summons when the court thinks that the person summoned will disobey the summons or will abscond or when the accused failed to appear before the court. This section also mandates the court to record the reasons for issuing such warrant in writing.
