SECTION 84: CLAIMS AND OBJECTIONS TO ATTACHMENT

Section 84 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 states the procedure of the claims and objections as to the right in respect of property attached under Section 83. According to this section, the court may allow or disallow the claim of a person other than the proclaimed person, who shows interest in the property attached. Every such claim or objection should be inquired by the court. The person can institute a suit to establish the right within one year of order of the court, which disallowed such claims.
