SECTION- 17: ADMISSION DEFINED

Section 17 of the Indian Evidence Act, 1872, defines admissions. Admissions are the statements suggesting any inference to the fact in issue or any relevant fact, which is made by any person under the circumstances mentioned in further sections. They can be either oral or documentary. An admission can be considered as an important piece of evidence against a person.
