ADJOURN

Adjournment is an ending or dismissal of any proceeding or meeting by court , legislative assembly, or any authorized authority respectively before them. Adjournment can be made in either way i.e.final or temporary. A final adjournment is said to be adjournment sine die which means “without a day” i.e. without the time fixed to resume the proceeding or meeting. Whereas, temporary adjournment is something when any hearing or meeting is ended with the intention to resume again on some other day appointed.  By understanding both kinds of adjourn, it is clear that adjournment is a postponement, suspension and interruption in an ongoing hearing or meeting to resume at some other future day which may be fixed or not.
