The legal analyst is part of Law’s Technology Center of Excellence and will be responsible for supporting all aspects of Eaton’s global enterprise legal management system daily operations and other Law systems including projects, analytical and operational support, processes/procedures, system interfaces, financial/data reporting, and system maintenance/testing. The position also supports and improves Law’s initiatives, processes, and tools.
The ideal candidate is an energetic critical thinker, analytical, skilled in driving process improvements who demonstrates the drive, business acumen, and people capability to deliver results within Eaton’s global Law Team.
Responsibilities also include a broad range of administrative and organizational tasks in order to ensure that the services provided to the region meet the business needs.
The position will be located in Pune, India and will report administratively to the Manager – IP Administration, based in Pune.
The position will support the Manager - Law and team on all aspects of Eaton’s global enterprise legal management solution utilized by Law and Tax functions and other legal systems (as needed). Tasks include support for daily activities, managing multiple tasks, and collaborating with the global Law team to effectively and efficiently achieve results that provide value to Eaton Law team and Eaton overall.
Responsibilities
The individual will support all aspects of Eaton's global enterprise legal management and other legal systems, processes, projects and initiatives including:
- Monitors daily electronic interfaces and identifies, escalates and resolves time-sensitive and critical issues.
- Collaborates with users, Eaton functions, vendors and suppliers to resolve system, supplier setup, accounts payable and invoicing issues.
- Administers and monitors controls and ensures compliance in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley, tax requirements, accounting policies, and controller requirements.
- Supports users on functionality, processes and issues.
- Develops and implements training, knowledge sharing and process improvements for users.
- Critically analyzes reports, identifies discrepancies and investigates and resolves issues.
- Partners with Law members to develop, implement, support, and maintain efficient workflow processes.
- Identifies and drives improvements using change management strategies.
- Provides technology support effectively utilizing legal systems and the current version of Microsoft Office (Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Provides excellent customer service in dealing with client base and flexibility to allow for changing work priorities.
- Other projects/initiatives as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree with good academic records
- Minimum 3 years’ experience of working in a multinational environment preferably with exposure to analytical oriented activities.
- Must be detail-oriented, with an analytical personality
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint), advanced proficiency in MS Excel and a strong ability to work with IT tools.
- Office 365, system administration, and Accounts Payable or EDI experience are a plus.
- Experience working with IT systems and databases, including e-billing/ matter management systems (e.g. CounselLink) is a plus.
- Good command over the English language & good communication skills
