Work closely with our Legal and Marketing teams to provide counseling and guidance on trademarks, and, secondarily, on copyrights and domains.
Working closely with our Director of IP:
consult and advise on activities of the company, including product launches, with respect to trademarks and other aspects of brand protection;
devise and implement global trademark filing strategies as well as trademark policing strategies, to encompass best practices in clearance, monitoring and policing.
provide guidance with respect to trademarks within our Legal team and our company as a whole, including with respect to agreements and potential company and IP acquisitions.
Create and support continuous improvement of policies and processes to streamline, simplify, and automate support of our trademark and brand protection practice.
Work closely with the Product and IP Legal subteam, the entire Legal team, and the broader organization, particularly with the Marketing team, to build a trademark portfolio and brand protection program that matches our ambitions as a company, and scales accordingly.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Law degree
At least 3 to 4+ years of trademark experience preferred; candidates with more experience are also encouraged to apply
Experience with global trademark filing and protection strategies
Familiarity/experience with online platform removal requests and Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) proceedings
Great attention to detail and follow-through on trademark projects; project management experience
Technical savvy with ability to quickly learn and operate new systems
Attitude that no project is too big or too small
Comfort working in an extremely fast-paced environment
Comfort working within a global organization and flexibility with the early and/or late Zoom meetings necessary to support a global organization
