DELINEATE

Oxford dictionary defines delineate as outlining something or describing or depicting it with words or visually. Delineate implies portraying or describing something with precision. Delineation can also be defined as marking of territories between states or borders between countries.

If you delineate something such as an idea or situation, you describe it or define it, often in a lot of detail.

If you delineate a border, you say exactly where it is going to be.

The law should delineate and prohibit socially abhorrent behaviour.
