Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Providing legal support relating to business activities of GBS including the relevant agreements, legal and governance issues
- Providing advice and direction on a variety of corporate legal matters with an emphasis on Corporate Law.
- Assist in drafting and vetting various types of contracts, agreements, petitions, legal notices and other legal documents.
- Assist legal matters related to sourcing and Human Resources
- Managing litigation and coordination with various stakeholders including law firms.
- Assist in liaising with advisers, such as lawyers and auditors.
- Handling administrative tasks relating to Company Law such as filling and documentation
- Support Bangalore Legal Head & Company Secretary in Corporate Governance matters
- Coordination with cross functional teams and with Practicing Company Secretary to ensure compliance with Company Law.
Qualifications
- 8-10 years PQE, India qualified lawyer, preferably with a Bar Council registration
- Qualified Company Secretary from Institute of Company Secretaries of India will be an advantage
- Attention to details, ability to work independently as well as with a cross function team and do multi-tasking
- Good communication skills and cross-cultural skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Prior experience with a Re/Insurance Company and Courts in India will be an advantage
