NLIU Bhopal Short Story Writing Competition under ‘e-Nyayaganga’ on National Girl Child Day

“e-Nyayaganga” – a pan-India Digital Legal Literacy Project of National Law Institute University, Bhopal, under the aegis of the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India, amiably call for the National Short Story Writing Competition on the glorious occasion of the National Girl Child Day on 24 January 2022.

Theme

The theme of the event: “The importance of Girl Child in every society and Nation Building”

The day is celebrated to spread awareness w.r.t. importance of girl child, their nutrition, their health, their education, gender equality, social stigma against girl child and inequalities faced by girl child.

Submission Guidelines

  • The maximum word count is 1000 words;
  • The submissions are accepted in all Indian vernacular languages, including Hindi and English.
  • The story shall have a message on the importance of girl child in every society and nation-building.
  • The story may emphasis any issue related to the patriarchal structure of society.
  • The story may include any social issue of recent times.
  • The story shall have a social message associated with the Government of India schemes and policies.

Submission Procedure:

  • The story must be submitted on the link below in words file (doc/docx format) converted to PDF format.
  • The formatting of the story shall be as follows:
  • Headings: Times New Roman, Bold Font, Font Size: 16, Line Spacing: 1.5
  • Body: Times New Roman, Font Size: 12, Line Spacing: 1.5
  • Footnotes: Times New Roman, Font Size: 10, Line Spacing: 1.0
  • The copyright of the Short Story will be vested to the NLIU, Bhopal.
  • Submissions are to be made only via the link attached to this Notification.
  • Last date of submission: January 23, 2022, till 2 PM.
  • Declaration of result and winners: January 24, 2022, 6 PM.

Selection Process

  • The selection will be made by the constituted Screening Committee formed for this purpose.
  • The selected story will be published on the NLIU, Bhopal website.

About the organizer
