The legal reasoning questions are the principle and fact-based questions wherein you are provided with a legal proposition (principle) and a set of facts to which the proposition has to be applied.
Some principles may not be true in a real sense, but they must be assumed to be true and answer the questions accordingly.
The principles are generally based on the law of contract, law of tort, criminal law and constitutional law. One should have a thorough understanding of these laws.
Although most questions are asked from the abovementioned laws, however, there might be chances that few questions are based on other laws such as intellectual property law, labour law, international law and family law.
It is not compulsory that one needs to be well versed with all these laws in detail. All is needed is that one gets a general idea of it so that it becomes easier to solve such questions.
Legal GK questions include a variety of questions involving constitutional law related questions, fundamental rights, DPSP (Directive Principles of State Policy), amendments and landmark judgments.
Questions relating to current legal happenings are also very common. It is essential to be well versed with current affairs.
Legal maxims are very important and it is expected of law students to be versed with legal maxims and legal terms.
One must be well versed and well read upon the important articles of the constitution, specially the fundamental rights.
